CHISA on the school timetable was the starting point for digitalization at Schibler A/S

Project Manager Stefan Kærgaard from Schibler A/S first became acquainted with CHISA Project when he was studying building construction at UCL in Odense. Here, the system was used as part of the teaching, where the students gained practical experience with digital construction project management.

"I came across CHISA Project during my studies, where we used it as part of an elective course. Several of the companies we visited during our studies also used CHISA Project, so it was obvious to choose CHISA when we had to find a digital tool for the projects at Schibler A/S," says Stefan.

A company in development

Schibler A/S was founded in 2005 as a classic carpentry company. Today, the company carries out main contracts, partnering projects and its own real estate development, which requires both structure and overview. With eight employees and an increasing project volume, Schibler has now started implementing the CHISA Project.

"We're still in the start-up phase and are currently testing the system on a larger project to get to know it. Once we're familiar with it, we'll roll it out on more cases," Stefan explains.

He describes the start-up process as positive and highlights the collaboration with CHISA as "good and straightforward".

From manual processes to digital structure

Until now, Schibler A/S has primarily managed its projects in Excel, a solution that has worked, but which, according to Stefan, has been both time-consuming and vulnerable.

"When you work in Excel, it can quickly become confusing. With CHISA Project, we get a better overview and can follow up continuously. This means less typing and more time to move projects forward," he says.

For Stefan, digitalization is not just about efficiency. It's just as much about creating security and overview, both for himself and his colleagues.

"We hope that the system can make everyday life easier for our employees. It gives peace of mind to know that everything is documented and can easily be handed over if changes occur," he says.

Digital curiosity as a common driving force

At Schibler A/S, digital development is well received. Stefan finds that his colleagues are open to new solutions and see the value in making everyday life more efficient.

"People are curious and positive. They can see that this makes work more manageable. It's about keeping up with the times," he concludes.

For Stefan, the circle has come full circle, but the development has only just begun. What started as a school elective has now become an important part of how Schibler A/S thinks about project management.
